Things I like and/or are important to me...
| I like to write because... | I write to lose myself in story, to find myself in story, to better understand the world. I write because writing is my shelter, my guiding light, that which beckons to my strengths and demands they become stronger. I write because, like life, writing is filled with uncertainty—both in terms of the process and the product. Writing makes me more alive. When I ache or soar in the midst of crafting a story, it is in every way like being in love. |

| What I would do if... | If I had enough free time (and money) I’d settle into a remote cottage overlooking the ocean and write a science fiction screenplay that explores what a technologically-focused utopia might be like in relation to a nature-based utopia. I’d (virtually) send people to various parts of the world and track the way they would adapt and cope in different environments. Anyway, I really do hope to make writing and film-making my life’s work in the near future. |
| I am looking for someone who... | A great listener and a particularly good diplomat, an excellent playmate, a colorful writer, and a wildly creative artist of life. (Ooops! I think I just described myself! Maybe I secretly want to live alone?) Ok, one more time: Someone who can read between these words and “see” the woman behind them.
